The most insane thing to me in this article is that it will apparently take 12-18 months to make these changes (no 2nd class post on Saturday and every other Tuesday / Thursday). How does it take a year and a half to figure out how to do less work?

Maybe it’s to do with pre-planned agreements with companies and that’s the end of the longest running contracts?

It’s this. The company I work for will sign contracts with Royal Mail for 12+ months. It’ll also give their business customers time to potentially switch to alternatives, either pushing people to First Class or maybe the tracked options such as T48.

Got to train the staff, and for that you’ll need a consultancy firm to deliver the full package of workshops, videos, quizes and one-to-one sessions

Can you imagine what would happen if you did get post your second class post Sundays? Total fucking anarchy, we can’t have that, so we have to make sure that it definitely will never happen.
