I’m convinced that many cities intentionally make pedestrian hostile architecture in the transition zones between residential and workplace areas.
Great post! I’ll be sharing this. You should add “I need this vehicle for when I might need to carry a boat or 7 passengers once the future”
Also I will say I do enjoy driving but I especially enjoy driving around well designed narrow streets with speed humps and roundabouts. Driving on stroads is just depressing and boring.

Media: They had it coming, look at that flag. They were asking for it. If you didn’t want to get hit by a car, why are you dressed so provocatively?
And when they didn’t carry a flag “they weren’t even carrying a flag and waving it above there head! they where basically asking to be hit.”
I specifically time my pedestrian trips so as to avoid rush hour if possible. Why? Because of the number of times I’ve been almost flattened by a car trying to turn right at a busy intersection and literally not checking for pedestrians before hand. And then they look at me like I’m the asshole for trying to cross the road when I very clearly have the right of way. It’s bleak out here for those of us who use walking as a method of transportation!
