minus-square@[email protected]linkfedilinkEnglish3•1 year agoLead pipes aren’t a huge concern compared to leaded gasoline and lead paint. It is my understanding that the pipes quickly develop a patina which keeps the lead from touching the water.

Lead pipes were probably more of a concern but cars are tasty too.
