I gotta say. I’m remembering the Columbia / UCLA protests, the BLM rallies, and the anti-War marches. And I’m remembering the police response. The police did not appear to side with the “We Want Civil Rights” folks. In fact, quite a few of the police were - themselves - waving the MAGA flags.
It wasn’t the “We want to kill black people” group that cancelled. It wasn’t the reactionaries that got banned.
The way an acquittal works is a judge or jury in a courtroom makes a decision. I can’t answer for flawed court decisions, but when they do happen it’s not “The Democrats” or “The Libs” making those rulings.
I think you probably know I’m not saying judges aren’t democrats or liberals, I’m saying the actions of individual judges aren’t the actions of “The Democrats” or “The Libs” or any other group they belong to,they’re individual decisions. Meme creators just like to oversimplify the world.
They should have the right to vote however they wish?
Are you saying the issue is not that say in America that the dems refuse to hold primaries and their neoliberal policies disgust the general public, its that folks have freedom of speech?
I mean, I do think that hate speech and extremism such as white supremacism should not be allowed, yes. They do not act in good faith, why should we extend our good faith to them?

And the banning things… Do you think that a large majority of the polulus in agreement of it? If so, then there is no need for a ban as it is viewed as socially unacceptable as it is. But if its not? How could that ever be enforced?
