So - yeah, let’s not press Elon too much.

It seems like he literally enabled a fascist government and hurt tons of citizens with irresponsible firings. He can and still perhaps should be hated for that.

There are more people in the world enabling fascist governments than those who are not.

Those systems he hurt are supposed to be able to survive this. If it’s not an improvement, then it’s a test.

What nonsense excuse is this? “There’s other bad people out there too, so don’t condemn this one?”

Okay, by bypassing regulations and illegally shutting down agencies instantly instead of sunsetting them to give time for nonprofits to fill the gap, Musk caused the death of tens of thousands of people who relied on food aid and lifesaving HIV meds. His degree of badness is worse than most people in the world.

The difference is that government agencies require regular shakeups. It’s normal. It’s not normal for them to just keep existing without those.

I don’t think you’d say the same about me taking a sledgehammer to your head. That’s what Elon did to a lot of agencies.

Oh, and he’s not enabling a fascist government. He is the fascist government.
