I bet I could put on an awesome democratic military parade. Give awards to whichever group built the best float around their tank. March the color guard intermingled with the local high school color guard. Have the infantry throw candy to the crowd. Let the marching band rock out.
But I agree that, in general, military parades are not a good look.
It’s a nation’s group of killers that should only be seen in case of a dire emergency, when killing tons of people is somehow the lesser evil in a given scenario.
Asking them to toss beads and rock out is a waste of resources at best, propaganda at worst.
Not really. Honestly, the “sanctuary cities” were humane compared to what the Trump Administrating is trying to do.
And now he’s wanting to put on a massive military parade, something only the Terrans (and other dictatorship/fascist regimes) would do
