So, if he’s altering his policy on transgender youth, it almost certainly means that he’s gonna attempt the Democrats continually failing strategy of appealing to conservatives.

Before this “outrage piece” I had no idea that Newsom had come out against trans athletes. So it definitely serves a purpose other than click bait.
It’s criticism of a centrist. No centrist wants people to be allowed to read it.
