The transition from The Fossil Fuel Age to the Renewables Age continues apace. It’s worth noting solar, wind and batteries have years more price falls ahead. In the 2030s, country after country will have near 100% renewables powered grids.
World on brink of climate breakthrough as fossil fuels ‘run out of road’, UN chief says
If that’s true how come we need to subsidize it in order for it to be adopted?
It was more expensive until very recently. And the subsidies make it happen faster.
New technologies are always expensive at first.
Fossil fuels are subsidized too
I know, we shouldn’t subsidize either.
I really wish Canada was oil dry because then we wouldn’t embarrass ourselves with these subsides and lacklustre action on climate change.
I would guess non renewables are heavily subsidised already?
