I just finished watching a video from the GOAT Star Trek YouTuber Steve Shives on his eventual realization what a scumbag his childhood hero turned out to be. He’s one of the good ones, Steve is, check it out! https://youtu.be/Jq3pdXIQnfM

I had the same experience. From little Hulkamaniac to fucking disappointed and disgusted adult finding out how big of a piece of shit he was.

Holy shit. Haven’t seen Steve in forever. He’s a Star Trek YouTuber now? Crazy.

Edit: just checked his channel. I guess it’s been longer than I thought. He’s done Star Trek content for years. Time is weird.

Another Steve Shives fan!? Holy shit! There are dozens of us! I just started watching him maybe 5 years ago, but I love the dude. He’s been doing a lot of political commentary stuff in that span of time as well and yeah, the man is a G. He’s very earnest but also speaks his mind with no fuck given and I can’t find an instance I’ve disagreed with him

I remember when Hulk Hogan got hurt, but I never thought the entire act was a fake. I’d always presumed that it was a legit injury from a performance mistake because a dangerous move was either served or received incorrectly, and the marketing machine just used this turn of events to its advantage.

My little brother was genuinely concerned and sent him a letter. If the injury was faked, coercing young fans into a letter writing campaign is pretty shitty.
