A former aide to Attorney General Pam Bondi said Thursday that the president is scheming up a “hidden pardon” deal with Maxwell, which would have her say he participated in no wrongdoing with Epstein, the sex offender who died in prison in 2019 amid new charges of sex trafficking.

Dave Aronberg, Bondi’s drug czar when she was Florida’s attorney general, told CNN Thursday that there could be in the works “a deal with Ghislaine Maxwell that she would get some immunity now and maybe a hidden pardon in the future: some sort of implication that she would be pardoned in the future if she comes out and says that the president was… not involved in any criminal activity.”

I’m no detective or former drug Czar for Pam Bondi, but I too suspect that they are probably going to do the most obvious and blatantly corrupt thing they could possibly do.

Aronberg also voiced suspicions of Blanche conducting the interview with Maxwell, given his close history with Trump as his former attorney.

Probably me next week when he’s gotten away with it once again, and we’re just supposed to continue pretending this is all normal:

There will be no need for a pardon in the future, as soon as she gives a list without Trump or his allies on it she’ll be found suicided the next day. Can’t risk her growing a conscience and telling a different story later.

Bonus points - she throws some left leaning Democrat “friendly” under the bus at the same time, creating a bigger distraction. “Trump did nothing wrong, but take a look at what THIS guy did over here…”

Don’t get me wrong, all the guilty in this mess need to burn. All of them. Whoever they are or wherever they’re from, it doesn’t matter. But I can absolutely see them cherry picking the right flavor of guilty person to take the heat off of Trump for the time being.

if she comes out and says that the president was… not involved in any criminal activity.

Which, lets not forget, may very well be true. Wishing it to not be true is wishing that a child got raped only because the consequences of that would further one’s political agenda.

Would you trust it at this point though? The most likely explanation in my mind is that both Dems and Republicans are on the list, including DT. Dems didn’t release it prior to the election because it’d blow back on them as well, and Trump thought he could get away with running on releasing it and then never actually doing it - which has now backfired. This whole thing stinks

Trust what? I’m simply pointing out that we don’t know whether he’s actually done anything illegal or not. A lot of people seem convinced that he did - which they couldn’t possibly be certain of - or they’re hoping he did, which is a pretty awful thing to hope for when you actually stop and think about the implications. And then there are those who don’t even care whether he did anything or not, they just want him convicted anyway - which is equally insane.

Also, being “on the list” is not the same thing as being a child rapist. We don’t even know what this list really is or why certain people are on it. Anyone connected to Epstein in any capacity would dread having that list released, regardless of the reason they’re on it, because the result would be total destruction of their reputation.

People are concerned about the hesitance he’s had for actually doing anything. He campaigned saying he’d release the names, then has proceeded not to do so, tried to deflect and say it’s a non-issue that people should forget about, that there were no other people involved beyond Maxwell and Epstein. For someone that claims to have nothing to hide, and was previously friends with Epstein (in itself not incriminating of course) he’s doing a piss poor job of convincing people he wasn’t involved in things with Epstein.

This shouldn’t be a partisan issue, everyone who was involved should be prosecuted, the fact no progress has been made since 2019 is on both the Democrats and Republicans heads - any idiot can see there is a cover up going on, and the only reasonable explanation seems to be that both sides will be damaged in equal measure by the fallout - for all Trump’s protestations of being outside the establishment, he sure does look and sound like an establishment guy

No disagreement there. While it’s possible that Trump himself might not be - but also might be - guilty of any wrongdoing in this particular case, he sure acts like someone who is. And if he’s not protecting himself, then he’s protecting other powerful people around him who may have dirt on him, which they can use as leverage to stop him from throwing them under the bus without taking himself down in the process.

But that’s a bit beside the point. My original argument was about refraining from accusing him of being a child rapist on insufficient evidence, no matter how much it might serve someone’s political agenda or how satisfying it might feel to finally see him face consequences. If there’s undeniable proof that he is guilty of what he’s being accused of here, then by all means he should be prosecuted. But I’m advocating for due process. These are extremely serious accusations that should not be spread as facts when there’s no way to know - no matter who we’re talking about.

You’re just making my point for me.

And I’m not talking about “being on a list” but about being a child rapist. Two wildly different things.

Just closely associating with child rapists, and being accused by multiple people of sexual assault on underage women, and known to have sexually assaulted multiple women of legal age. If there is any justice left in this country I hope he and everyone else that hurt and trafficked women and children goes down for it. No matter what their politics may be.

Pretending Trump is innocent in all this is wishing that people harmed by Trump are once again denied justice, simply because the consequences of justice would impede one’s political agenda. And ultimately some people count and some people don’t. And some people seem to completely lack empathy, and can’t be bothered to acknowledge evil if it’s not directly having an impact on them or somebody they care about.
