Sorry if this is a dumb question but does that mean you’ll have access to any waypoints you’ve unlocked on your eternal characters or that you’ll also have the as much map as you’ve revealed as well?
I’ve done it on alt characters. Only takes about an hour running around on the horse to get all the waypoints. Intersperse this with smashing through the strongholds and it’s not too dull.
They’ve made it so map reveal and altars will carry over into seasons. Whether that includes waypoints isn’t clear, but I suspect we’ll need to unlock them again.

You’ll see the major city waypoints, but none of them will be active. Minor city waypoints will not be discovered at all.
I thought most, if not everything, was getting reset. I believe you’d need to get all the waypoints again.

Not 100% wrong, afaik “map revealed” does not imply that you get the waypoints for free
