I’m trying to edit my profile in settings by uploading an avatar, etc. but whenever I save it just does the little circle thing and then when I leave no changes were saved. Also when I go back to settings all my changes are gone. Any help is appreciated and I thank you a lot.

I’ll look into it and try to determine the reason. What browser or app are you using to do the edits with? Any logs from the attempts available? Any ad-blocking software enabled?

I’m using the Firefox browser. Also I’m on Linux, specifically Debiam 12 Gnome if that makes a difference. Also I should check for logs. That and yes. Going to disable it for now.

I have the latest but good idea and thanks for saying it. It won’t even let me add my display name and I have my adblocker off.

It’s not letting me save if I put my full name in but it’s saving other things now. It seems the images didn’t really upload though. I see them from my end in the settings but when I go to my own profile they’re both broken and not showing.

It says network error when it comes to fetching resources. I’m paraphrasing but it gives that error message.

Looks like you’re getting errors based on the way your client is behaving. I see a lot of errors with your username that are client side errors (HTTP 499, 206). I’d wager you’re likely trying to use too large an image, your client isn’t sending the complete form (attempting to chunk/partial it), something client side. Please let me know the web browsers or apps you’re using to attempt to make those profile changes.

FWIW, I tested on a few different browsers within my control to edit my own profile, and did not get any errors or issues. I don’t think this is a Beehaw specific issue.

I’m going to reduce the size of the image and see if that helps. Also I use Firefox on Debian 12 Gnome.
