Ex-Trump insider Lev Parnas over the weekend noted the situation surrounding the Los Angeles protests, saying “the clock is ticking” as Trump has “troops in the streets, tanks on standby, and plans to crush the resistance.”

“I know a lot of you woke up this morning in shock—staring at the footage out of Los Angeles, asking yourselves: How could this happen? Is this real? Is this really happening in the United States of America? But let me be clear, folks—this is real. It is happening. And I need you to know that my sources deep inside Trump World have been warning me that what we witnessed overnight was no isolated event. It’s part of something much bigger. And what I have to tell you today is chilling,” he wrote.

“Yesterday, when Donald Trump deployed over 2,000 federal troops into Los Angeles under the justification of ‘restoring order,’ most headlines ran with it like it was some isolated act of retaliation—just another example of Trump punishing blue states. And yes, part of this is personal. Make no mistake: this is revenge against California, against Governor Gavin Newsom, and against Los Angeles Mayor Karen Bass. But it’s not just about settling scores.”

According to Parnas, in reality, “This is about control.”

“What happened yesterday in Los Angeles was a test run—a dry rehearsal for something much, much bigger. I’ve been hearing from multiple trusted insiders that Trump’s inner circle—particularly Pete Hegseth and some of the more radicalized loyalists embedded at the Pentagon—are actively drafting operational plans for the mass mobilizations expected on June 14th,” he added. “This isn’t just about Trump’s birthday. This isn’t just about another vanity parade. This is about shutting down resistance.”

Parnas added that Trump “fears the American people rising up on June 14th, in all 50 states, with signs that say No Kings—with voices that remind the world that we are still a democracy.”

“That’s why he’s pushing for tanks. That’s why he wants the biggest military display America has seen since the Cold War. Because he wants the optics of power. He wants to smother the story before it even begins. He wants his parade to dominate the headlines, not the marchers in the streets fighting for democracy,” he said. “But I need you to understand this: According to my sources, there are discussions happening right now—within Trump’s most trusted circle—about invoking martial law if the protests ‘get out of hand.’ They’re looking for any excuse. Any video. Any act of violence. Any disruption. That’s all they need to justify a crackdown.”

He then warned people not to fall for a trap being set by Trump associates.

“And it gets worse. What I’m being told is that Trump allies—including elements connected to Proud Boys, III Percenters, and other far-right militia networks—are planning to infiltrate the June 14th protests. Not to support them. To sabotage them. Their goal? Create chaos. Spark confrontation. Trigger a response from law enforcement. And then hand Trump the justification he needs to clamp down,” Parnas wrote. “Let me say this loud and clear: We cannot give them that excuse.”

Parnas went on to encourage peace, and told protesters to “stay vigilant.”

Our leaders would burn down the country as long as they get to be kings of the ash.

We all know what stops fascists.

Historically, they usually leave power a specific way.

We’re not stopping them peacefully or violently with 1.5% of our nation in protest. Violent resistance at this size will only reduce our numbers.

Bruh, the false black and white thinking of America is really infectious isn’t it.

There’s a lot of middle ground, and it doesn’t have to come all at once. It takes organizing and training. They’re not saying we can’t resist, just that we have to build it to do so effectively.

I know a lot of you woke up this morning in shock—staring at the footage out of Los Angeles, asking yourselves: How could this happen? Is this real? Is this really happening in the United States of America?

It’s almost like all those annoying people who tried to warn other Americans that Trump was a dangerous person seeking absolute power were right the whole time. Trump Derangement Syndrome exists, but the symptoms were badly described: I propose that the new definition of TDS should be the delusional belief that the US (and the world) is safe while Trump and his inner circle still live.

That’s why Trump distanced himself from and actively pissed off international allies while siding with dictators. This is why Trump has sunk the economy to promote only that of his insiders. This is the context under which Trump is considering taking over Canada and Greenland while pulling out of NATO. He has been promised a kingdom and he doesn’t care how much worse off the country it is as a result of it because he only cares about being a malignant narcissist, just like the people propping him up.

We do not have the military power to kill half of our population beyond nukes. They don’t have the numbers to maintain control except in illusion. The fourteenth will be a staunch reminder to Trump that this is a hell of a large country, he cannot control it with force, and that tank parades don’t mean a goddamn thing except to egomaniacs.

We absolutely have the ability to kill half the population if you’re not too picky about targeting and happy to rule through the idea of death from above rather than soldiers on the street in Mayberry. This also doesn’t account for police complicity, and the fact that there’s an alarming amount of right wingers who seem rather elated by the idea of potentially killing their liberal/leftists relatives, coworkers, classmates and neighbors.

In my division, everyone unanimously agrees that the administration is absolutely stupid and indefensible. Of those, every last one would outright defy any order to “kill half the population”. We talk about it all the time - including with my Chief. ~60% of the officers I speak to also believe that the administration is conducting unlawful actions, and about 70% believe the administration is engaging in actions harmful to the socioeconomic and geopolitical standing of the USA. >80% of the enlisted personnel in other divisions at my command likewise agree that the administration is making stupid and indefensible decisions, and all of them would outright defy any order to “kill half the population”.

                Any other questions, civilian?

They were always worried about people threatening their ability to be racist, violent, Christofascist freaks, not about actual injustices.

Incidentally, the “shall not be infringed” reading of the 2nd only really gained popularity around the same time of desegregation.

Do you really think that an election would have prevented this man? This has been a concerted effort by a hostile enemy who has infiltrated the deepest levels of every American government branch, working towards this point for over 4 decades. The cops have been taken over by nazi gangs, and the FBI has known since the 90s. The heritage foundation has been funding and grooming judges with this express purpose, and laws and regulations have been being erroded this whole time in preparation. Just voting for the right guy would not have stopped any of this, esspetially when no party has been resisting any of this, with politicians at best calling for “unity”. I know how tempting the thought is to blame other workers, it’s what we’ve been taught to do and avoiding the real enemy makes us think we can avoid the horrific truth that there is no one coming to save us, and those we thought were there to protect us were stabbing us in the back the whole time. Not to mention their firepower. But you can’t fall prey to that thought. Use this as a time to realize there is no war but class war.

I’ve heard of places organizing many small protests, like a few hundred people, in many nearby neighborhoods. It forces the police to spread out too much to be effective.

I love the idea of them wasting all of those resources, but we need the 14th to be as big as possible. Protests are the best way to chat up less informed and newly engaged people, share communication resources, and generate awareness through unity.

Lev Parnas[a] (born February 6, 1972)[1] is a Soviet-born American businessman and former associate of Rudy Giuliani. Parnas, Giuliani, Igor Fruman, John Solomon, Yuriy Lutsenko, Dmytro Firtash and his allies, Victoria Toensing and Joe diGenova, were involved in creating the false Biden–Ukraine conspiracy theory, which is part of the Trump–Ukraine scandal’s efforts to damage Joe Biden.[2][3][4][5] As president, Donald Trump said he did not know Parnas nor what he was involved in; Parnas insisted Trump “knew exactly what was going on”.[6][7]

In October 2021, Parnas was found guilty in U.S. Federal Court on six counts related to illegal donations to the 2020 campaign of Donald Trump.[8] He was sentenced to 20 months in prison, three years of supervised release and $2,322,500 in restitution on June 29, 2022.[9]

They try and present as left wing/ progressive/ alternative media, but they exclusively give voice to “centrist” / diet-Republican viewpoints.

Pay attention to who the platform. Its all either corporate Democrats or Republicans. Is the presentation and pageantry of a grassroots enterprise while exclusively platforming establishment views.

That being said, I think when they stay in their lane, which is specifically issues related to the Justice department, court cases, the Supreme Court, they are excellent. They have incredible access and have demonstrated themselves to be great journalists in this regard.

Yeah the whole warning reads like bullshit. We already know that Trump supporters, and probably people inside the FBI, will join in protests and commit acts of violence. This is an old tactic, it’s been around for decades, and it will always be used whenever people are having large political gatherings. You cannot avoid it.

So what’s the alternative? Not ever protest? That’s a stupid idea. And the author knows it stupid, which is why they didn’t say it, and they just ignored the entire topic. Which means they are trying to manipulate people and we should ignore them because they are untrustworthy.

They don’t need excuses, the Regime will just manufacture one.

What we should do is develop mutual aid and federate factions together. Black Panthers should escort peaceful protestors, and peaceful protestors should render medical assistance, supplies, and shelter to those who must engage in conflict. Peaceful protest and violent resistance are the anvil and hammer of democracy.

By trying to prevent people from considering violence, the hammer of reform is stolen from us. We shouldn’t allow this to happen, as it serves the interests of those who want to oppress us.

I am still not convinced. As everyone knows rump loves his attention. rump also hates his followers. If all the decent folks stayed at home and then only all the magats would be there and due to their nature, they would all start fighting with each other. Then the following day, you blitz news with see, decent folk don’t care about rump and did not go. I feel this would damage rump greatly as he is so fragile. I may also be senile and it’s a dumb idea.

Edit it would also deny what rump wants. An altercation to start the shooting. Would also keep the violence contained to the magats infighting.
