Not really, i met plenty of professionals who suck at their job, i would read “professional” only as the flat: “it’s their job, they are getting paid for it”

Well, most people do get better in something they do at their job, but the word is classical meaning drift from “they do this at work” to “they do this good” hence it’s commonly used to praise competence now.

The problem is that while Putin was servicing Donnie, he didn’t provide a courtesy reach-around. I mean, that’s just a manners issue.

Calling it now: Putin and Trump had a falling out, Trump wants Zelenskyy to attack Moscow hoping that it either 1) kills Putin or 2) puts the pressure on Putin to capitulate (to Trump) somehow.

This is nothing to do with ceasefire talks or Ukraine at all. This is between Trump and Putin.

I dunno, he just needs a win and ending the invasion in Ukraine would be a big one.

Though yes it could also be something super bad like he’s asking for Putin so then Putin can claim there was a super crazy attack in Moscow which gives him reason to up the ante munitions wise into something a bit longer lasting and much more spicy.

So first Trump orders an airstrike of Iran, and now tries to get Ukraine to attack Moscow.

Where are the people who claimed Trump was going to end all wars and the Democrats were war hungry?

Yes. It’s yes. They have been able to achieve devastating damage on Moscow for quite a while now I’d imagine. Not enough to wipe it off the map but certainly enough to prove a point.

That’s not the real question Trump is asking though. He’s actually asking Zelenskyy to explain international politics to him. Trump doesn’t understand the potential backlash Ukraine faces if they are seen as crossing a line. Zelensky is being very reserved with this. He’s playing the long game. He’s planning it out. He’s letting Russia flail about and starve itself. And Trump is just a colossal dumbfuck who can’t possibly understand not doing the most impulsive, reckless and expensive thing possible.

Russia SHOULD NOT starve out before ukraine, but look at the ratio of money coming in vs going out in russia vs ukraine. Also, Putin has guaranteed the issue is unfixable as he surrounds himself with yes men, while Zelensky has a leaner operation that involves skilled people who can offer opposing information without the threat of defenestration.
