Thinking about it rationally, I think people should be treated the same regardless of their beliefs, and I should feel pity for this guy. But emotionally, I can’t help but feel schadenfreude for people like this, who get their just deserts.

Yea… my rational side is currently out back and rotting since the last election. At this point I’m cackling with delight at any of these.
It may have helped I grew up in the south surrounded by historic revisionism of a bunch of traitors but I’ve given up on people being treated the same regardless of their beliefs because some peoples beliefs are fucking awful.
I realize that’s a fucking slippery slope to go down, but there’s a reason I tell people I should NEVER be in charge, I’d be a monster. That’s the difference I find between myself and these ghouls is I know to keep my being a monster leashed.

I mean, as I pointed out when they first ran articles about this, that guy was asking for trouble regardless of the legality of his immigration status. Trump licenses his name and makes money off doing so, and has been doing so for a long time. If you get a “Trump whatever”, the business making that is paying Trump for the brand. I would be pretty sure that the guy didn’t license anything from Trump before doing the Trump Burger thing. Maybe someone could manage to fly below the radar with a small-scale operation, but trying to get publicity by doing interviews in national media is probably not the way to do that.

I wouldn’t say incorrect, but perhaps misleading. He’s now has to go to hearing to determine his immigration status. If what he says is true then it may be an easy win for him. IDK what qualifications are actually needed though.
