Eh, I already have a decent amount of skill with running other distros headless. When it’s gaming time I prefer a solution that just works 99% of the time.

Just putting it out there that not every person that’s commenting in English on Lemmy is in the US.
Bazzite has this on by default, and is based on Fedora 42. Definitely one of the little fixes it does that makes it just work so much better out of the box.
That’s honestly the way. Bazzite just works without tinkering. It doesn’t eat into your game time with debugging. Plus KDE is very Win10 like, so it’s all just familiar and easy.
Yeah, I’m sure.
have you tagged as racist and you’re certainly living up to the moniker.
I just think you’re making a lot of baseless assumptions about a person when you don’t have any facts to back up your claims.
I would not be surprised if her determination to push her limits has resulted in medical incidents that could have been avoided.
Did you even read the article?
In my experience, some people are not aware of their specific limitations, or don’t respect them. This can lead to dangerous situations and other negative outcomes.
I mean she’s an office worker, trained in human resources though pigeon-holed as a secretary. I don’t understand what could possibly be dangerous for her?
You say that like Trump’s response to the pandemic wasn’t this already.
Oh, absolutely not. That didn’t seem to be the crux of your argument though.
I mean, media has depicted this sort of relationship for pawbably as long as sci-fi has been around? Think like the Star Trek: Original Series episode “What Are Little Girls Made Of?” that depicted sex robots ~60yrs ago. This was always coming, it’s just technology might finally be getting there in a rudimentary way.
Search engines are also super difficult to run locally well in my experience. Stuff like SearXNG are okayy, but they just pull entirely from other site’s indexes. Having any sort of index of your own is much harder. Yacy is intriguing, it’s a P2P concept but it just never seemed to work well.
We is first-person plural so I guess you mean it lacks first-person singular?
Curious how you feel about their paid search engine model?
Does it feel like AI to you? I’m a Kagi subscriber and while they don’t shove it down your throat like Google tries too it leaves a bad taste in my mouth that a) it’s there at all; and b) that I’m paying for it regardless of not using it. AI should be an add-on you choose in addition to search.
So, why didn’t you like Discovery?
Yeah, yeah they’ll do that in a developed country too. I think it’s just doctors ¯\_(ツ)_/¯
Pretty much exactly that in my experience. If you’re already on an atomic Fedora you can just rebase to Bazzite.
